It'll be around -30C that night over here, so I'll be ringing in the new year in flannels, chunky knitwear and an enormous cashmere scarf as usual. I also have high hopes that this interesting looking vintage London Fog wool trench coat I ordered from eBay will have arrived by then, and won't be so absurdly oversized that it's pointless to alter. It's tagged 46R and I wear a 40" chest, but if the direct measurements are accurate it should be good for layering over something thick.

Had tentative plans to attend the American Bach Soloists
Baroque NewYears Eve concert in San Francisco following
by dinner at Boulevard. Hadn't bought tickets yet and probably
won't go through with our plans due to Omicron. Frankly, not sure
that the performance will actually take place. San Francisco
and the Bay Area is very strict about Covid. Would have worn
a bluish grey Isaia in the old Sirio cut (padding removed) or
a cashmere blue blazer Belvest from Wilkes with bespoke
grey pants about 20 years old. My very understated clothes
choices are intended not distract from my repartee.

Boulevard is an excellent choice.
