I am researching what interest men in general about their personal style. Looking through all the collections the common threads are Men in Suits, Men stuck in a time capsule, strange modern clothing that is unwearable, or clothing that is non-descript. The majority of clothing designers create the same clothing as the next, i.e, boxy jackets, rolled jeans, plaid shirts, short jackets, tapered trousers. Is this the general appeal to men of today? These items of clothing are not much different that what you would find in any department store at any given time. So then, why would you buy designer clothing that make us look, well, for a lack of a better word, average? As men are we not comfortable with stepping out of these boundaries. Safety in the masses so to speak? What happen to men looking " cool" or even "sexy" ? With the standard in mens clothing do you feel cool or sexy when you try it on? Or does that even matter to you? What are you looking for in mens clothing that may or may not already exist?
