Korean ballads/high BPM pop, Rammstein, Laura Pausini. It changes hugely though depending on what music I'm really bored of, sometimes I go all Goa/Psy and Rock.

Anything high paced, something that helps you feel angry is always good. If it means you're listening to Celine Dion because she pisses you off, do it.

For me, The Tragically Hip, The Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Police. Usually I just "Genius" feature any 1 song I find gets me pumped.

Metal, mostly. The sensei of my powerlifting group essentially made it the norm.

Metallica, Rammstein, Lamb of God, Disturbed, Rage Against the Machine, Rob Zombie, Dragonforce. Things of that nature.

As you can imagine, it's deliciously cliche.

When I'm doing cardio, fast paced rock. Tiger Army, Social Distortion, HIM, The Living End, The Hangmen...

When I'm lifting, it's all about metal. Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, Machinehead, even some Atreyu (ignoring the sissy emo lyrics)

There's a guy at my gym who wears a tough guy bandanna, blasts metal so you can hear it 15 feet away from him, grunts all the time, tries out weird bullshit exorcises for attention, and gives tough guy looks to everyone all the time. I dont want to have anything in common with him, so I never listen to metal when I work out.
