So I live in Mexico City and since the city pretty much shut down I decided to get myself a suit. I tried on an OTR Zegna suit that fit really well and I was going to go with that. However, I wanted a three-piece. As it turns out the store (Palacio de Hierro-reputable) does custom clothing. I returned the next day was measured and bought a three-piece suit, super 130's, more or less the same look as the Zegna suit for about $900.
Reading everything about bespoke I am curious as to what I have purchased. I have an appointment for a fitting and I was told there will be another fitting before the suit is ready. Being skeptical, I asked to see some other custom suits and I was shown another suit that looked pretty nice.
Just wanted to see if anyone has any input, good, bad , what have you.
This place is a really nice department store, I'd put this store on par with S5A. Just to add a bit of clarity to those who might be imagining a dimly lit, dusty room with a light bulb hanging down from a wire or something.
