What are people's thoughts on the type of clasp a dress watch should have? I'm getting married and have a GS SBGA413 I'd like to wear. I know black-tie you're technically not supposed to wear a watch but this was a gift from my in-laws and has sentimental value.

I plan on removing the bracelet and getting a black alligator strap, but I can't decide if I should go tang buckle vs deployment clasp. I have a Christopher ward strap/omega-style clasp I was going to repurpose the clasp from but I'm concerned it'll add too much thickness. Thanks!

Goal is to have something similar to below but in black.

Whatever you find more comfortable is the right answer
Probably the clasp, I'm just concerned about it being too thick and bulky and it messing with my cuff.

Gorgeous watch. I would go with a traditional pin buckle. Part of the charm of a leather strap is the tradition and the old-timey, slightly awkward process of putting the watch on and removing it. Clasps are for metal bracelets. IMO.

Very nice GS, and yes you are correct, there are those who will say you shouldn't wear a watch w/ BT.

I think its fine, and I think this watch is certainly suitable for BT.

I agree w/ RJC, I would wear a black band with a pin buckle. Not just w/ BT, I would wear a more traditional strap w/ this watch in general.
