My first post here and I hope I don't spark a hellish debate as I have read some here before on this topic BUT.... I do have questions...
First off, can someone school me on if it is worth going cordovan for a wallet instead on chromexcel. I understand cordovan is superior for shoes but for a wallet is it worth the mark up? I want a wallet that will last for a very long time, possibly 20+ years and will always look great. Does anyone have a good aged picture of a chromexcel wallet and a cordovan?
Next, Makr vs. Chester Mox.. I've seen the debates between the 2 and I do see the blatant reflection that CM has "borrowed" from Makr. But are they pretty much the same quality when it comes down to it? $55 for the flap from CM vs. $120 from Makr is quite a difference. And I do like the personalization that CM offers.
I live close to the Makr studio and emailed them about coming by to check out the wallets before buying one (want to make sure everything I will be putting in it will fit) and getting it there from them and they said to just let them know when I would be by since it is a studio not a store. So I may do that, I just don't want to go there and not buy anything like a dick.
Cheers,
R
