Waistcoats/Vests/Layering Appreciation Thread: Pics, Discussion etc

Hi folks, I realise it's not going to be to everyone's tastes but I freaking love waistcoats. I guess it has something to do with my dislike of the abrupt transition from shirt to trouser and I much prefer anything which covers this, whether it's part of a 3-piece or an odd waistcoat/sweater/cardigan. I thought it would be cool to have a thread for them similar to pocketsquareguy's pocket square, rock your socks and neckerchief/ascot/scarf threads. Although I wouldn't dream of doing it with a suit, for odd items I find going sans-tie when wearing waistcoats can work to keep things a little less formal and its something I default to most days in colder weather - does anyone else wear waistcoats on a regular basis? Perhaps people could post pics here? I know it's a little out of season but that actually raises a point for discussion, does anyone wear lighter wools, cottons or linen vests in the spring/summer? I find tropical wools and linen keep me cooler than just a shirt and jacket. What do you guys think? Some pics to get things rolling:
