A couple of years ago I geeked out on WWII US Navy peacoats. I wanted one really badly and not just any coat, one as like-new as possible. So after scouring eBay daily for an entire winter, I ended up with a few just-about-perfect coats. I'm anal "detail-oriented", so for each promising listing I sent a set of detailed questions. I even sent some coats back because the condition didn't match the answers.
However all ended up being a little big for me and they should be worn by someone!
Vintage WWII US Navy Peacoat
Size 34-36
Satin lining
Measurements:
Chest (pit-to-pit): 18.5"
Shoulders (seam-to-seam across back): 18"
Length (base of collar to hem): 30.5"
Sleeve (shoulder to cuff): 24.5"
Sleeve (center back to cuff): 34.5"
Condition:
This coat was an eBay score - I purchased it practically deadstock/new. The chest name tag is filled out and the neck size tag was removed, but beside that, it looked like it hadn't been touched in 70ish years and never worn. I wore it lightly for one winter, so it's in excellent condition with extremely light wear. Kersey wool shell is in fantastic shape - no moth damage, no holes, no stains. Satin lining is in in fantastic shape. All buttons and the neck strap are present. Corduroy pockets are fantastic - once you feel them, you will want corduroy pockets in everything!
$325, CONUS Priority Mail shipping included. Please PM me for international shipping quote. PayPal only, please.
