Try the following:

1. Conditioner inside the heel area. It might be an interior issue;

2. Take a hammer and lightly tap on the heel;

3. If above fail, might be time to take to cobbler. Maybe the shank is squeaking. Maybe a small mouse has invaded your beloved shoes.
Thanks! How exactly should I condition the heel area? I dont trust cobblers in my country, so I have to wait until im in the US again. Do you think this is salvageable? I was so happy with the find!

I would take just a little of conditioner and rub inside the heel area where you ankles rest. The squeek might be coming from there. After it's dried, take a clean cloth and remove excess.

What country are you in? Maybe another member knows a good cobbler in your area.

What country are you in? Surely there are reputable cobblers in your area.
Brazil. I highly doubt it! You cant find any of the brands we like here. The nicest shoes available for sale are Ferragamos, because Brazilians have an unreasonable love for Italy. And thank you again for the help!!

Came across an incredibly nice pair of vintage patent leather Florsheims. Barely worn - the past owner clearly kept them for special occasions. Virtually no heel wear, only needed a light cleaning.

11D, which isn't my size, but couldn't resist saving them from getting wrecked at the thrift shop. Now to find them a new home.

Mine too. Looks like the St. George did not appear as a jodhpur until 1982. Prior to that it was a zip.
I have an early 1970s Sr George and those are a monk strap chukka (aka George boot)
