I also had a little pair of circa 1960 Hartt Bluchers come in today; size 7EEE. I mean who wears size 7EEE? They will likely end with some west coast guy with "cool wind in his hair".

I would buy those for $400 CAD. No deliberation necessary. Ha. :-D
Thanks. I had a pretty good idea what was hiding beneath the dirt and old polish, but I was still pleasantly surprised that they ended up so vibrant. They are such a super rare shoe. I am glad that I grabbed them. No regrets.

The early 50's SE Dack "Cambridge" U-wings that I purchased almost two weeks ago finally arrived. I did a bit of a restoration on them and they are ready to go for another 70 years. The laces are NOS 1940's US military surplus.

Here is one photo of them as found, and two photos after the clean-up. The soles and heels are virtually unworn.

Just landed: Florsheim NSTs in my size! Someone on one of the FB groups thrifted these for $8. They weren’t his size, and so we offered them up for the $8 he paid plus shipping. @suitforcourt alerted me and I grab them. They’re in pretty good shape. I’ve clean them up and brought some of the welt stitching back to white (these have that really cool double welt stitch). I might apply a very subtle burnishing to the toes with some light brown die. This would be nothing extreme at all. It’s just that there’s some discoloration on the toes, and so I might as well turn into the curve. After that I’ll condition and put some cream polish on them. I’m going to have to get new heel since the double v-cleat heel is almost completely worn down. I’m pretty excited about grabbing these.

I haven't posted shoe Appreciation for months. With WFH and winter here, mostly in boots for the few moments I am outside. Plus my indoor footwear is also all boots.

These are shell AE Dundee that I swapped with @Oshare . I wear thicker socks for this 9eee pair, and the fit is great. Just light brushing makes them glow.

Yesterday also saw the arrival of this lovely pair of John Mchale Vikings on the Bomber last, care of @dadjeans . I absolutely love the black stealth bombers. If I finally find a pair in my size I am going to throw away all my other blacks shoes. On close inspection the Biltrite heels on this pair are factory original.

These are so handsome. @Paul902 was selling a similar pair made for another company.

If I can find a pair in my size, I will likely flip my other black cap toes.
