Ever try to stretch a Florsheim 93602? I can go between a 10.5D and 11D easily. With an 11C I need just a smidge more width on the right foot, left has no prob in an 11C. I'm looking at a pair and considering it.

Ever try it? Will lightning bolts come down on me if I try?

I usually width stretch all my shoes (including Florsheim 93602) unless they are EEE to start with.

@CWOyaji is a pro at stretching shell and calf.

I was researching neatsfoot and VSC and saw your post above. I can say after restoring these Brooks/Alden shells that they drank up the Renovateur, two applications, (which was really noticeable in my limited experience) then sapphir cordovan cream.

Those are fantastic. I’ve had good results with renovatour when restoring shell. It has mink oil which may penetrate the shell better than Bick4, which is my go-to for calf.

Agreed. My FootJoy LWB is one my favorites. Rock solid construction.
+1. Vintage Foot Joys are very well made. I only own this pair. I’m really impressed.

I thought I read you couldn't stretch shell much?
Wearing does not stretch it. I have done several. Make sure that you hydrate the shell pretty well. If you have shoe stretcher spray, spray it inside at the spot, and gradually increase the pressure. Do not stretch all the way to way where you want it to be. Stretch little at a time, and make sure you that the leather is hydrated.

I finally ordered a bottle of Renomat. The instructions are pretty unclear. Is it to be used as a spot treatment or to clean the whole shoe? It says to leave the cleaner on the surface for 15 minutes. Then what? Use a damp rag to wash off?

Looking at the graphic instructions? 1. Brush, 2. shake, 3. clean the whole shoe with your fingers wrapped in a t-shirt and keep moving to a new section of t-shirt as it gets dirty. 4. let dry 15 min (I think thats where you are confused). Then hit with the renovateur or other, polish, wax. That's my routine anyways.
