Must be raining shoes. Aristocraft wingtip (Fits me, yes!) and footjoy classic loafer. No one would leave a good J&M behind , right ? And about 4 other name brands that were just too beat up.

I leave J&M behind all the time. Most of them are the recent versions or the older versions that are CG.

I tried focusing only on MiUSA versions as they are decent shoes. I have several for myself. But, I didn’t make much on them when I was selling.

I actually bought a pair of new J&M shoes recently. They are part of the made in Italy line. I bought them because they were on a clearance sale And they were only $49.

I haven’t worn them yet. They are pretty light colored suede tassel loafers.

I do have a question about that. How can you tell a crown Aristocraft from an aristocraft if the label is barely visible? Or the quality of the Aristocraft?
This a Crown, which I didn’t see in the store lighting.

Took my son for a walk during his lunch break. My re-dyed 93602s came along.

Awesome! Those have a great gold color! That’s what they are supposed to look like!
Difference in color between pairs seems to be large. I was watching a pair on eBay that was almost banana yellow, and you see pairs darker than what you see above.

Florsheim 97626s being rebuilt. E-thrifted these.

JR soles, cat paw heels, new welt, toe taps, and grommets.

This pair of CG Danbury is getting the "treatment" today. They were all knicked up and looking shabby so I thought that I'd take 'em out behind the woodshed, so to speak. This is after about 15 mins of scrubbing and now I've got PU stuck all over my hands. It might take a while but the acetone sure melts that coating pretty quick.

Update: what have I gotten myself into? What have I done?

Here's the current view.

Getting the PU out of the welt area is a challenge. Also, the acetone liquefies the coating, which then runs onto a clean part of the shoe before hardening when the acetone evaporates, making a streaky, sticky mess.

This'll be worth it, right? Right?
