I started work on a new watch band that I am making from some shell LWBs I found when thrifting. I felt they had issues and I decided to move forward. I removed then entire upper, removed the toe cap and then cut out large sections for the band. I will be trimming them down to the proper size. A watch is pictured to give some idea of the size they will eventually need to be.

I also have pairs of 93605, Nettleton 4063 and some other shell LWB so I’m leaving @wasmisterfu a clear lane to achieve his dream of 97626 ownership.

Hey gentlemen, I was encouraged to post here after my post re: my hanover cordovan shoes in another thread.

I have the distinctive pleasure of owning two Hanover LB Shepherd cordovan shoes.

Specifically, these are the 3168 plain toed blucher and the 3351 longwing blucher.

Is there a way to narrow down what year they were made in?

Agh, sorry bud. Should have put that in the text of the post. They are lovely and most unfortunately will not fit me either (albeit in my case shaving off the edge of my foot would be sufficient as opposed to removing toes in your case).

Well, if they were 13, at the same width, they’d be an AAA... so I’d have to chop toes and shave an inch off the sides. If it weren’t for the fact that rest of my collection wouldn’t fit anymore, I’d almost be willing to do it for those.
