Rare 60s Florsheim Imperial Two-Tone Black/White Long Wing 11B 10.5C Vtg Wingtip | eBay

It's hard to date these shoes exactly, but based on the style and construction, it's likely they were made in the '60s or '70s. Made in USA, as were all Florsheim shoes of this era. As they were MTO, they were probably based off tracings of the original owner's feet and they have no marked size.

They sold to the person who runs the Classic Shoes for Men site. So those shoes went from being a $2 find at the bins to the green velvet Valhalla of vintage shoes. What a redemption story!

Following some suggestions, I switched out the orange laces for dark leather ones. I'm not sure if it's better or worse. What I did learn is that the people who came up with the lace length guide on the back of the Kiwi packages are full of ****.

Yup circa 1977, 1984-Tan Pampa Calf. Those would make a neat pair, restored...

...But these are worth like 30 bucks, max, especially given the 20 dollar shipping cost:

Don’t get me wrong, they have a ton of potential, as they don’t actually have that much wear; they’re on their original soles and heels. But they were also put away wet and without trees, and they haven’t ever seen proper conditioning and care in their entire 43 years.

So yeah “some people...!” is right.

Those bottom ones look late 40s maybe early 50s.

Just got these beauties off eBay. Knew the name but had never seen a pair before. Out of the box they are a little snug, have shoe trees in them and will have to touch them up a bit but these are clearly nice quality shoes.
does anyone know much about them? Not a lot on the internet except they made exceptional bespoke shoes in Rome and Silvano Lattanzi bought them out at some point. Happy to hear more. Would bespoke shoes have a size?

Big improvement. And the nice thing about leather laces is you can cut off the extra and they don't unravel...
