Recently bought a 2030 service boot (my first) in 10E. They fit very snug all around - no pain but my toes feels a bit constricted width wise. They feel find length wise. They honestly feel nice as they don’t have that “big boot feel”, but I’m worried that they’ll get uncomfortable after a lot of walking. Wondering if I should try a model that they make in 10EE or if I should bank on these breaking in/molding to my feet. I’m horrible at boot decisions and I’m sure I’ll end up making the wrong decision either way 😆

My typical brannock is 11D/10.75E
I would have done 10.5E for an 11D brannock.

I'm around 8.75D brannock and 7.5 vibergs fit snug initially but break in very well. Just dont wear it walking around the city for 10 hours on the first wear

I think an 8 or 8.5 would be the correct fit. What's your HTB Brannock measurement?

Heel to ball is 8.5 heel to toe is slightly longer than 8.5, id say 8.75 if that was a thing. Have about 10 vibergs on the 1035/2030/2050 lasts all fit perfect at 7.5. Have only ever tried one size 8 viberg and it felt huge. Surprised most here seem to prefer half a size down

I think one down from HTB is correct. I recommend half down for those who don’t know their HTB, and one down from HTB for those who do, because seems like HTB>HTT is more common than not.

Of course that won’t work if HTT>>HTB, but I don’t think that’s too common.

.5 down with thick socks will be your best bet across the board. I see a lot of people doing 1 down with thin socks or just have too low volume to be comfortable in .5 down. The range is .5 down to 1 down, I wouldn't go any smaller besides the slipper last.

I would say if you have an alden barrie last, go down half a size from that for viberg for an almost identical fit too. Most people go down half a size for barrie so that would be a full size down for viberg. If you go true to size for alden barrie, half size down for viberg might be better

I can compare 12D Barrie and 2030. Similar heel fit, Barrie slightly tighter in vamp and slightly smaller in toe/ball. Not surprising given D vs E fits. I would take same size, I could see others going half size down for 2030.

I Brannock 12C HTB and 11.5 is too small for me in either of those lasts, all due to toes.

Viberg also offers free exchanges for different sizes. I took advantage of this, recently, to try the 2030 in D width as opposed to their classic E width. Found the 2030 in D width fit similar to my 2020 size.
