Trip to Brussels and Paris - Where to eat?

Any recommendations? I am a buget traveller so anything from 10 to 25 EURO per head would fit my budget.

If you like Moules frites, go to any one of the Leon's chains in Paris (there are a ton). They are awesome, I highly recommend them. (Yes, they are a chain, but their mussels are delicious).

A little more expensive, but Cafe de Flore or Les Deux Magots in Saint-Germain des Pres. Go for lunch, it'll be cheaper, and the people watching is a great way to spend an afternoon (or evening).

In Brussels try the small chinatown near De Broukere.
In Paris, well, go on Rue Mouffetard (via Rue Monge metro station), there are some nice arab small restaurants - if they are still in business, go to "La Rose de Souse", great couscous and grills, or from Bd. Saint Germain, Gregorys (rue Gregoire de Tours). Avoid like hell the tourist traps in Quartier Latin. Also you could try the Rue de Cinq Diamants (from Bd. Auguste Blanqui, near Place d'Italie, Metro Corvisart) "Chez Gladines" was one of my favorites in Paris, 20 years ago! The area around is called "La Bute aux Cailles" which is a very nice traditional area of Paris - the other Bute being Montmartre (to avoid, cause of tourists). Enjoy your stay (Bxl is not great)!

In Paris go to Rue St.Anne/Rue des Petits Champs for Japanese or the restaurant of the MosquÃ

e for tajine & couscous.

I really appreciate the comment that Brussels is not great (I read quite a few in this forum already). But the world is so big. Need to explore more in my life.

I wouldn't go to Leon's in Paris if I were you. It's not bad, but if you're going to Brussels as well, get your moules frites there. It's somewhat of a Belgian specialty after all.

If you're looking for traditional, tasty French food on the cheap in Paris, try Au pied de fouet. There are a few of them--I've been to the ones in the 7th and the 6th. The restaurants are tiny and can get very packed, so go early or expect to wait. You can get a great french meal there including an appetizer, a main course, wine and dessert for 25-30 euros.
