Hi All,
Would anyone be interested in a group MTO of the something similar to the two tone super shoes in cola suede and coffee burnished leather made by frans boone? I believe the cost is 312.50 GBP excluding VAT. Thanks!

Hmmm, thanks for the input. I may consider that. Although I kind of think the two-tone and orange sole gives it more character.

I might want to be on board this MTO if you keep the two tone and I do prefer the original set up with a danite sole. 4444 last is perfect for me. I have allready commited myself to another MTO (the straight cap Eaton) but I might go for this pair as well. Hopfully we will be able to order the Eaton soon, we just need one more person. Anyone... :) It is also on the 4444 last.

Hey Guys,

A few of us have been trying to put together an MTO project with 3 definites confirmed. It'll be based upon a recent Junya Watanabe X Trickers Super Boot model that retailed earlier last year at Mr. Porter, Paul & Friends, and The End.

There are some modifications we'll be making to that model too. And the quote we got from Richard from the Shoe Healer, makes it a better deal too.

Current pricing for our MTO model would be £325.00 (exclusive of VAT), or around $522.00 for non-EU based customers.

Inclusive of VAT, it would be £390.00.

Tentative Specs are as Follows:

Tricker's Eaton Model (w/ no medallion on toe) i.e. a perforated captoe boot
Acorn Antique Leather
Brass Eyelets
Red or Orange Lining
Orange Pull Tabs
Commando Sole
Natural Welt
4444 Last / 5 Fitting

The photos below should give you an approximate idea of what the boot would turn out like:

What's different with our MTO model is that it would be on the 4444 last, and have brass eyelets, whereas the original Junya model is rumoured to be on the 4497 . . .

Here's a link to a captoe Eaton model on the 4444, which should give you a better idea of what the toe box area would look like:

Hit us up on the Tricker's MTO thread (link above) if you're interested in getting on board.

Hey guys! I've been in touch with the user "baldrick". And he's on board for this MTO.

His suggestion is that we use red "lining" for the shoe.

Are all 6 of us still on board? To confirm:

1.) Richard from Shoehealer

2.) DomD

3.) ravn

4.) rainbow grease

5.) heterophilous (me)

6.) baldrick

Just checking, do we first submit an initial partial payment to place the order and then pay the rest once is it completed?

My very first MTO on Trickers, very excited to be part of this make up, Acron Antique on punched cap toes is very unique and will be a decent addition to my small collection. Hopefully Govt of Canada and EU will ratify free trade agreement soon, so that I can indulge in more MTOs (still regretting missing Iris Cordovan MTO).

Hey guys,

I might be interested in the Acorn captor order as well, but I am not sure about the last/size. I have a couple pair of 4497 Stows that fit perfectly at a size 8.5UK. I am wondering if the 8UK for the 4444 last would work. FYI, I tend not to wear really thick "boot" socks. I wear medium to thin (not dress sock thin though) socks with my boots. By the way, why did you guys settle on 4444 instead of 4497? If it were 4497 I'd be 100%...just unsure of sizing for 4444.

our makeup will be on the "4444".

tricker's advice for the "4444" is to size down a half from your normal UK size.

if you have feet of normal width and instep, a UK 8 should work.

but i'd suggest you seek richard's advice as well.

OK. I'll roll the dice on them. There's no way of knowing until I have them on my feet, but size 8UK sounds like the way to go. What's the next step then? (feel free to PM)

Welcome to this tasty MTO. Regarding your size; I will say stick to 8.5 UK on 4444 as well. It is a bit roomy than 4497 but you should also consider length as well. My US size is 9 D on Alden Barrie Last, 9.5 D on AE Leeds, UK 8.5G on Chruch's and UK 8.5 E on C&Js and UK 8.5F on Loakes. After reading multiple forums, I went with UK 8 on Tricker's 4497 Burford. Very painful mistake. Even though typical logic is to size 1/2 down on Tricker's than other UK shoemakers. I cant wear my Burford for longer than few hours. 4497 last has low vamp, but the boot stretched to accommodate my foot and the width was ok too, however I cant chop off my toes and have to wear them slightly curled and heel hurts too.

4444 is bigger than 4497 but only slightly, and if you find 4444 8.5 bigger than 4497 8.5, you can always wear thick socks to compensate. 1/2 size large will not make much difference, at worst you will have little bit more space in front and sides, which can be taken care by thicker socks or tight lacing but nothing can be done about length.

However, the choice is yours to make. My opinion is solely based on my feet, which are wide with high vamp/instep. However I will highly recommend to contact Richard @ Shoehealer, he is the oracle for all things Tricker's, email him, he is very friendly and prompt.
