Bay is a really bad director...how he has achieved his status is unbelievable. The Rock and BB2 are good, though, as i said in the Cinema thread.

Bay is a bonafide genius compared to some of the other "action" directors working in Hollywood these days though. Talking of hacks like Len Wiseman, Rob Cohen and Stephen Sommers. Someone needs to throw those douchebags out and give more good directing gigs to people like John McTiernan, Richard Donner, Kathryn Bigelow, Mark Lester, Walter Hill and John Carpenter again.

Seriously, I'd rather watch Transformers three times in a row than sit thru any one of Len Wiseman's blue-filtered pieces of ****. Worst director ever.

i havent heard of any of those dudes but the fact that is so probably attests to you being correct.

that guy who made Charlie's Angels, McG or whatever, he is pretty ******* bad too, worse than Bay.

Bay is a talented technical director (that ridiculous scene in Bad Boys II with the revolving camera?), but that said, his crowning achievement is still his "Got Milk?" commercial. That's actually brilliant.

The only thing I remember from any Michael Bay movie I've ever seen is this scene from The Rock where Nic Cage asks this dude if he likes the Elton John song Rocket Man and the marine says something about that being pansy music then Nic Cage blasts him with a rocket it's so funny, bra.

Edit: Oh, and that scene in Bad Boys II where Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are in this electronics store and their conversation about Smith destroying Lawrence's ass is broadcast throughout the store then some older black woman tells them motherfuckers that they need Jesus.

armageddon: i walked out of the theater after about 20 minutes.

the island: great movie if you go into it without knowing anything about it. if you have any clue what it's about, the film is ruined (unless you are a hardcore scarlett fan.)

those are the only 2 i've seen.

Hollow Man is about the least of his films I've seen. It pretty much sucked. The only Bay movie better than Hollow Man, IMO, is The Rock. And only because of Connery.

You seen the newish one about double crossing and nazis, looked pretty nice?
