To those that have the leather MA-1, aka Charly Special, what are you wearing it with?

Still on the bench, thinking of how this jacket would work with my wardrobe. The gallery has a few pics, but not enough for me to tell.

Edit: Also it doesn't help that every pic has someone wearing the MA-1 with all black clothes/shoes, or monochrome. Is that all it's good for? (Not trying to sound negative, but it feels like that to me)

Trend? It's a bomber... Yeah It's being used a lot recently but I wouldn't say it's a trend. I think DR you can wear it with a lot of styles but you can't go wrong with either one. Buy what you want.

how can you say "buy what you want" when he's clearly thinking over the longevity of the jacket, stylistically?

if you have to pause and conceive how it will fit into your wardrobe, you're in trouble. we're all adults here so i'm sure he knows he can do whatever he pleases

You guys need better imaginations or something. How hard would it be to picture it with a white t, faded jeans, and sneakers? It's not that much different from a regular CWU or A-2.

Black jacket ≠ Only being able to work with monochrome clothes/shoes

I found silver zips too bling on my brown goat MDR so I'm selling that. I much prefer the gunmetal on my replacement.

I sold all my pants because the silver zippers were too bling.

I've now replaced them wtih copper for longetivity reasons, plus it matches better wtih my jewellery.

On black lamb, it's really your own preference. gunmetal and black existed for a long time before silver/gold were introduced.

However, I do think that silver looks especially nice on anything colored.
