1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks for the invite, but the bolded part is really what I am trying to avoid :)

Also, dark brown goatskin is really nice!

    It really is...

Also, very interested in more shots of the navy MA1, if anyone's received one recently.

Thinking about a dark blue soft calf jacket. QDR or new DR? And Drew, is there anyway youcould be convinced to do gold zips on a blue jacket? Or would that just look terrible and silver is the way to go?

Either of those models would look good in the soft blue calf, but gold zippers are gonna look bad there. Gold zippers look good on the edgiest of the designs, in black. Color + gold zips is one too many variations away from the base.

MA-1 has successfully navigated customs hell and is sitting safe 'n sound under my desk. Just had a chance to wear it when I went out to grab lunch, fits so well, and the lambskin is everything that's been said in this thread and more.

gold + brown might work if the gold looks like brass, but otherwise I can't really imagine gold + color not looking pretty bad

My A-2 in brown lamb measured 2.76mm at the bottom of the jacket where it is 2-ply without lining using a set of calipers, so I'd wager it's typically 1.25-1.50mm thick.

Measured a few more spots and got about 3.01mm as a max thickness.

My black lamb thickness varies a lot throughout the jacket. One sleeve is significantly thicker than the other. Don't have tools to measure thickness though lol

OK GENTS, I'M READY TO PULL THE TRIGGER ON A BLACK LAMB CHARLY SPECIAL.

If I want it for September - when should I be ordering it?

Sorry to all if this has already been answered.

I would estimate 3-4 months but lead times for leathers are suppose to go down.
