to be fair, i've never seen anyone else's lamb look like this. my guess it was VERY tight and had a lot of stretching, but idk
It probably came that way and then became more pronounced with wear. I didn't notice how extensive that texture was when I received it, and I think the back developed in a similar way by the time it was shipped off to a new owner (I lost weight).

You can get a better view of it if you check it out at full size, but it was taken with the camera on my tablet. lol

It doesn't happen on every jacket. I can only recall one spot on my A2 where this sort of thing might happen in time. You see patches of the same texture on close shots of other jackets.

Here's Anthonyp's whiskey qdr for example:

Personally, I think that it's really nice to look at in person. It's a work of art and I would have kept it if it fit the way I wanted it to. :satisfied:

It seems to happen to varying degrees to lamb over time. This is what I was talking about when I said we need more evo pics, though. There just aren't enough.

Hey guys,

I'm a new devotee to the TOJ greatness and have fallen in love HARD with this one-off jacket. Any advice on what to order that would even come close?

I think I'm destined to wander the earth in search of this forever... so sick.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if they'll make the same jacket again sans snakeskin, but you can email and ask. The design is basically an MDR with a perfecto pocket detail.

yeah I didn't like all the details, he made it on his own that way and I asked for many things differently. He kept insisting that it wasn't possible to do it my way, which is not really true, it was very possible (not rocket science) and he couldn't get his brain around it. So, off it went.

The wrinkled lamb thing, it's not across the board. It's related to two things, one is kind of ridiculous but let me explain - there are whole lots in the black and brown NZ lamb where the lamb comes in with wrinkles like that, to varying degrees. It's not considered a defect, so we just go through it and find the less wrinkled stuff to work with. Sometimes the re-up is not wrinkled, we just go through seasons where it is and isn't, and don't really get to choose, and we don't really modulate it beyond 'try to pick the least wrinkled stuff and let the maker try to piece the jackets so that they look like they make sense.' The colored stuff like the whiskey and blue, sand, etc - those come from France and are of a series (I can't remember the name) and those also indeed wrinkled pretty much as standard, but the wrinkling is mild. A lot of this stuff mellows out with age anyway.

Seriously, I get asking dumb questions over and over that have no answer (calf v lamb guys which should I get quick quick). But asking what a blacked out moto looks like?
