The "I came" refers to the end of Happiness where the boy--who has a closet pedophile father, a great Dylan Baker--finally ejaculates. I think he is truly the happy one at the end.

if you actually saw happiness, how could lk's post confuse you? "i came" is the only memorable line in the film.

I saw it a while ago, I will admit, and now remember the scene pretty clearly. "I came" has also become somewhat of a meme among certain internet groups and I can now only associate it with that.

I like Solondz. His scripts are intelligent and you know when you're watching a Solondz world unfold. My favourite has to be "˜Welcome to the Dollhouse'. It's cute, charming, campy, curious and all things trademark Solondz. "˜Happiness' is too but suffers a little from the big name actor syndrome in PSH. Dylan Baker was solid and Lara Flynn Boyle was beautiful.

"˜Storytelling' is fairly underrated and that is probably because of the vignette approach as opposed to the more traditional full length feature. "˜Palindromes' fell flat for me. I like what he did with the main part and how it had a character arch from WTTD but overall it was not as good as his earlier films. "˜Fear, Anxiety and Depression' is not really your typical Solondz film because he had not yet established his niche/ style but it is evident in spurts. I'm looking forward to seeing his next film.
