time for a new suit, where to begin??

hey folks,
first time posting but i have been lurking/admiring for some time now. i was wondering if any helpful souls could point me in the right direction or give me some advice for getting a new suit. now i am in college so money is a bit tight currently, as much as i would love to drop some serious coin on a beautiful suit, at this point in my life its not practical

(something to look forward too i guess haha).

anyways what are some good brands you recommend? i went to a few local "mens wearhouse'esque" type shops and they didn't seem to know much at all. i know getting a nice fitting suit on a budget is going to be tough, but im hoping with some help, dedicated shopping, and a little tailoring i can pull it off
