Three buttons ok on a sport coat?

So, taking the advice of some members of this forum, I have decided to splash out on a new sport coat. Found a nice used Zegna gold, black, and grey (haring bone?) blazer that fits me perfectly and is in perfect condition. However, it has three buttons. Is this acceptable to wear with charcoal pants as a sport coat?

There are plenty of three-button sport coats...can't say if the fabric you mention goes well with charcoal without pics (even though there is hardly anything which does not work with charcoal)

(Nowt wrong with a three button jacket, can't judge on matching without pics)

Probably should have mentioned that it is double vented and I'm fairly tall.

Surely you copy pictures from your phone onto your PC? Then you just can just post them on Flickr or something, or attach them to your posts here.

Most 3 buttons I've seen looked a little stiff, military, but that Zegna is gorgeous. That it went for a hundred clams is gonna give me bad dreams for a long time.

Except it wasn't my size, thank God.
