Okay now I'm on a roll with things I don't get. Here's another one: why are lots of people (including people here on SF) putting the dollar sign after the number? It's hard to understand the mistake because anyone who shops must see it done correctly all the time.

Another plus 1 from me - I've also been told that I 'must' love that show, and just find it irritating. I do now some rather brilliant people who love it, however, but they tend to be fairly well adjusted brilliant people.

i suspect this is foreigners. all the foreign currencies get displayed with the sign after the number, not before.
