If you had one of those grown up jobs that required you to work on weekends, Mondays wouldn't have quite the same sting. Fortunately I know that world famous neurosurgeons in their early 20s usually work a strict 9 to 5 schedule. Hospitals hate to pay overtime.

Just watched a live broadcast of the Berliner Philarmoniker conducter by Claudio Abbado. Whenever there were closeups of Claudio Abbado, the audience was visible (obviously) and one gentleman wore a tie in the colour which is from now on known to mankind as the brightest red of all bright reds. It was seriously distracting.

That's a little disappointing to me. Canada raised and fed you, invested in you to go to med school, internship, fellowship to become a world renowned (Mon-Fri) neurosurgeon and then you leave?

I hate you, Monday. But there's nothing like coming off a three day weekend knowing another one awaits at the end of the workweek. And then three days of selfless public service after Memorial Day before yet another three dayer.

running the brooklyn half marathon on saturday morning has left me achey and sick. I'm coughing and sneezing and sore all over. I hated that all this started this morning - yesterday I was totally fine. Delayed onset muscle soreness and a cold ******* sucks.
