They had me track it for a while each day. The highest reading was 165/101. I am on the highest dose of amlodipine besylate and it seems to be hovering around 145/90 with swollen ankles.
Christ. I hope you get that under control. My fam on dad’s side all suffered from hypertension...it’s serious bznss because you can feel fine while it kills you. Good luck and I agree with #9 to get serious about this

Well, the doctor thinks it is mostly related to my genetics. Every male in my family has hypertension. Also, I probably drink too much.

Afaik primary ht is idiopathic but of course that is not to say there isnt a reason here, i used to register wildly but above normal, from 140 to 160 or 170. Yesterday was 120 70 so i got that going for me ha

Plus unless they catheter i think its an indirect measurement? And can change when we measure it (we acknowledge 'white coat hbp' but not 'hbp hbp'?) And afaik a risk factor yes but not a death sentence. In any case take care of course and good luck.

I tend to measure lower in the doctor’s office actually. Perhaps because I tend to measure it at work where they have one of these arm band machines.
