1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

much more Christopher Moltisanti than David Lynch.

Reminds me of a great post from many years ago. I forget who it was, but the post was basically "decided to play around with some facial hair for a bit. Thought I'd look like Stanley Tucci, but turned out like Artie Bucco :fu:"

Speaking of haircuts I've lost my barber of 11 years. On pretty short notice he up and moved to Denver and I now I need to find a new barber. This is like a marriage break up.

I vaguely remember meeting him. I do not recall any desire to punch his face.

I shave every other day. I think I look like a mix of Christopher Moltisanti, Charlie Sheen, Kyle Machlaclan, and Joshua Jackson.

If anyone is wondering, Nicaragua is hotter than a NYC subway platform.

If I lose another 15# I might try a full beard. Keep the sides trimmed very short and let the chin grow a little length.

My university used to have a e-mail system of which was always malfunctioning, to where you couldn't check your messages because the screen would say "Error" or "Process Han Timed Out" or something like that. Well recently we switched to an Office 365 format I thought "Hell yes now that private enterprise is on the case we are going to have performativity aforethought!!!" Turns out my prediction was lacking in verisimilitude, put 'er that way.

That's a good point. Issues or purported issues of power, privilege, etc. aside, it can be creepy and uncomfortable. Or pretty awesome. Depending.

Ha, exactly what I was going to ask. I was feeling pretty hip for knowing what "twink" and "bear" mean. From the explanations, it seems there are more cute animal nicknames for hairy dudes than for relatively non-hairy one. Sounds like discrimination to me.

I only know who the middle two guys are.

    This.

When I was much younger I'd occasionally wear a goatee when I felt like taking a break from shaving. The sad truth is that keeping facial hair trimmed and neat is as much of a pain in the ass as shaving. Sometimes it can be nice to change it up, but the novelty wears off after a week or two. It'd be cool if you channeled your avatar, though.

And since I know you're all super interested -- Booth definitely has cooler hair, but when mine is longer there is a bit of similarity in texture or whatever the appropriate term is:

Don't overthink it. I was just making a lame "cutting" pun. As in, I got my hair cut.

Do you mean that you cut the hair on the parts of your body where there are big muscles to where you can show off how bulky they are?

Sometimes I cut the hair off my calfs but leave the rest of my hair intact on account of have good calfs.

Personally, I didn't cut anything. But that is an excellent strategy that I am embarrassed that I didn't understand to think.

Damn you people for the Moltisanti reference. I just wasted most of the day in the Sopranos wiki rabbit hole
