Why do people who don't exercise heavily need so much protein? :puzzled:

North Americans generally consume way too much of it. Aside from overeating in general, I honestly think that's why most people there look so thick compared to people elsewhere (well, except for a few places). Women there seem to suffer the most from since they generally try to have a slender figure.

I've given up on going to the bars on weeknights (unless it's for a couple happy hour drinks). There is no misery greater than being at work with a hangover.

Try a 19 hour flight with some random ***** with no blather control next to you in the window seat, so you have get up every time.

My regular grocery store has been out of Lactaid for a week now, so I can't eat any yogurt, which has quickly become a go-to source for low fat, high protein between-meal nutriment. I am going to go to another store today to buy some.

Dont they have soy yougurt.

I try to eat mostly paleo aka no/low carbs and high protein means you stay full for longer, I eat two eggs and a saugage for breakfast and I can stay full until dinner.

No, oddly enough. I used to eat a lot of that, but now I can't find it anymore. My guess is that there's only so much space for yogurt in the refrigerator case, and a lot of that space got taken by Greek yogurt when that hit the market.

I tried that and didn't like it very much.

I will start learning Swedish this week. I'll move there as soon as I'm able to understand an average Swedish newscast.

What! Chobani is the ****.

Tastes good and has like, what, 14 grams of protein in each cup?

It is pretty expensive though.

I like the 14 g of protein, but I do not like the taste.

Found it! It slipped out my pants into the back seat (which is always messy). Was kinda lucky to see it, too... :embar:

glad to hear it.

More ******* snow.

+1. ugh.

mofo politicians want to close the loophole that allowed smoking in small bars.
I guess this means that a friend will go through and install a beer tap in his house. Non smoking just won't do...

they did that here. SUUUUUUCKS.

Went out to a cocktail bar to a friend's birthday. Somebody "ordered champagne for the table." The bill ended up getting split evenly between everyone. Turns out she ordered rather nicer champagne than I'd usually be willing to spring for...sticker shock. Birthday dinner parties suck for this reason.
