I changed the settings on my coffee grinder to make some french press and now I'm having a tough time finding that sweet spot for espresso.

What kind of grinder do you use? I can assure you that if it is under $600 even trying to get a good espresso grind on it is useless.

I have a pretty good set up. My machine and my grinder are both Bezzera. Its been a few years but I think the grinder was around $800 and the machine $2000. Definitely not commercial quality but I'm happy with it.

my brother owns/runs a coffee shop in San Francisco that serves Blue Bottle. Just before the grand opening two years ago he was held up at gunpoint by two huge black guys.... what did they steal? The grinder that was still in the back seat.

there's a few huge restaurant supply shops out of oakland that a lot of the SF restos/cafe's shop at because of their low prices, but its in the scarier parts.

Wow, that's crazy.

the cop at the precinct theorized that there are probably scouts that lurk around the supply shop and look for marks to hold up after purchasing pricier things. good thing there wasn't anything astronomically expensive like the expresso machine in the car.

fwiw, heineken tastes like piss.

This.

My wife is like a bloody snake...

Always cold..

I feel like my mum when I tell her every 5 minutes to put a bloody jumper on..

the missus, in the middle of a heat wave, can put her hand up my shirt and its like a damn ice cube.

I blame ovaries.

Just wait. When The Change comes you will wish that her hands were like ice cubes, and that she occasionally felt cold.

The drivers coming on our terminal have found the solution...

They all piss in plastic bottles while driving and throw them out of their windows...

Our security staff find incredible staff in their cabins from dildos to bags full of faeces.
