I have a stupid foreign policy essay due in a month and the teacher has essentially said 'you come up with any topic related to foreign policy'. wtf??? to make matters worse, he only ever has office hours directly after a 6pm class (to which he rarely shows up because he is "busy"). Oh and he also ignores emails. Just ******* great.
anyone know any interesting foreign policy topics? can be on any country, and any topic.

it's something close to my heart, but I would think a lot of material for a good topic... how about the US political and military policy with respect to Taiwan? we have scheduled arms sales to them, a treaty to defend the Strait, clear difference of opinion vis-a-vis China, President Ma has just been re-elected and there are growing tensions in the region. Add to that the fact that Taiwan is technically not a country and I think you have an interesting topic. just my 2 cents.

going to read up on this situation and I will strongly consider it. From what you point out, it sounds great and it uses US foreign policy which we focused on for the entire first semester, but we aren't limited to US in our essay.

Btw, do people still refer to sections of hospitals as "wards?" I've not heard that in years. Then again, a single nurse ever on duty?

Stich and Pio, you should do yourself a favor and put Vandenhoff, or whatever, on ignore.

It's sort of fun. I will eventually though.

well, by policy i dont use the ignore function. there are people i actually dislike that would get that treatment first if i were to use it. but more importantly, as piob said, its fun for now. :)
