You're right. The master ultra thin is manual. But boy is it sweet. It would be on my list if I had a list.

Thank you all.

Don't pass on a good deal because of the bracelet, you can always get a leather strap. I know you want a thin case. What about the diameter of the case? What's too small for you? My watches less than 40mm get little or no wrist time.
Once you get use to wearing large watches. Anything smaller than 40mm, just does not feel right anymore.

I guess I'm kind of the opposite. The question is not what's too small but what's too big. I've never owned a watch larger than 40mm, but I really can't see myself wearing one either.

+1 on the JLC Master Ultra Thin. If I need to buy a new dress watch that would be it.

IWC Portofino can be had grey market for around $2100.

They're automatic and reasonably thin.

Same with the Omega De Ville.

Oris has quite a few models around $2000 if you're looking for something sportier.

If you're looking for thin though, manual winds are the way to go. Automatics have the extra thickness due to the winding rotor. Chronos are going to be even thicker.

Solid call on the Portofino. I've bought from Zeetan and had a positive experience. Oris also has the Atelier dress line that the OP might want to consider.

I don't want to hijack Sart's thread but does anyone know of an inexpensive version of his request? Most of the recommendations are in the >$1000 range. How about something <$500?
