The two fits above both seem lazy and remind me of when I go out for coffee around my house on Sunday. It's usually a combination of whatever interesting pieces from the night before are still lying around and the beater loungewear I currently have in rotation.

That YYPH coat with that shirt could look so good, but the rest of it just comes off as mish-mash, which maybe is the effect you're going for but it's just an okay fit that could be a lot better IMO.

NN, I think it's time to call that Margiela coat experiment a failure, or at least match it with something that gives it a chance. What about that coat made you think denim work shirt? Or are you just in IDGAF mode? In which case, more power to you. But this is a fashion forum so I'm assuming you're trying to be sort of stylish.

Mrs. Nicelynice looks great.

I've come to the conclusion that I disagree with around 75% of Caveat's critiques, which is maybe slightly lower than my rate for Redc2's

We don't disagree as much as you think. I just don't post much about fits I like or hate. I usually post about things everyone else likes but I don't, which is the most interesting contribution to make, especially for a nonconformist like me. Therefore, I'm going to be disagreed with a lot, especially by people who aren't very critical, which I is a group I think you belong to.

That Margiela coat has a few things going for it. 1. It's Margiela. 2. It's being worn by a terrific SF poster who is very stylish and well-liked... Okay it has two things going for it.

I don't dislike the Yohji fit. I just think that that coat with that shirt is phenomenal and the whole thing turns out just pretty good, which is kind of a letdown to me.

I also just hate Yankees caps. As an American living in Europe it's just such a cliche. Yankees hats probably make up more than half the US sportswear I see here.

^ Agree about Margiela coat. Reminds me of something that would have been picked over in the final discount bin at the old Filene's Basement (there's a reason most of that stuff ended up there).

Being a Red Sox fan, I can't help but agree with you on Yankees gear :). To my mind, it is maybe just a notch up from wearing Harvard shite (if you didn't attend Harvard, wtf are you doing wearing it, if you did/do, wtf are you doing wearing it?) I'll grant you the NY logo is a little more iconic--if cliche--and at least if you're a Yankees fan you get a semi-pass.

fwiw it actually is a little oversized, but it's intentional from what i can tell. whole knit is slouchy and only a small

If the jumper was one size smaller it will improve your appearance by 10%. It might be 'intentionally bigger' but its no good for you.
