Something different for me I think. For some reason I was not as comfortable wearing this as I would have wanted. Could be the OTC socks that I am still trying to get use to (pants get caught around the back knee). Also, felt a little out of place being that I typically wear tucked shirts only in the office space. Largely inspired by Eidos, Eidos shirt, Lemaire pants, Christian Kimber loafers. I also have two other pair of Lemaire pants, white and cream, which I think may look better with the shirt. Overall, quite pleased with a proper spring and summer outfit (that I otherwise would be wearing gym shirts and AA tees all day). So envious of you being able to wear a chunky ass knit right now.
I live in Santa Cruz but I purchased the jacket online from Blue Owl Workshop which is in Seattle. If you want a desert for mens clothes other than surfwear Santa Cruz is the place. Its up to the city or online for me.
Definitely the lions share of oddballs. I've lived here since I got out of the service almost 50 years ago and certainly seen the dress codes come and go.I go to Santa Cruz pretty often - a good friend has a little vacation shack there that I get to use. I agree it's not a fashion mecca, but I find that beach towns in California tend to have a certain aesthetic to their dress codes, at least that was my experience growing up in Laguna. Guys were aware of what they wore, how it fit. There was a lot of vintage and a certain amount of local oddballs that dressed very individualistically. It ain't Modesto!
I am not a fan of this at all. There is a lot of money here and it sort of looks very pedestrian. I think the blazer is the worst offender.View attachment 844797
