I think some larger pants would've been really good here, either something in the currently very popular tapered cut with a loose top block (along the lines of these https://www.guerrilla-group.co/collections/dir-pants/products/17s-es-pl02-bl) or something large throughout the whole leg with ribbing/pinroll at the bottom like Maharashi or milsurp stuff.

With how slim your shoes are I'm guessing the first option would work best, but if you were to exchange them for something chunkier I think the second option would also be very good.
