Well this isn't the hair thread but I think it looks kind of silly when it is that short.
I'm in the process of growing my hair out to do something similar to this. There aren't many good pictures of guys rocking a ponytail - probably because it looks ****** most of the time.

what size hem?

ann light wool trousers, sized up (odd since I always size down), not sure of hem but I'd say 7" ? it has a pretty strong taper and slight drop-crotch

hah I knew you'd say that. I think the white of the sneakers adds just the right amount of extra color without collapsing everything, but these are comfy need to add traction to soles and take them to the fields.
