The lack of significant taper is what causes the no-break fail. You really need TBBF/TB style cuts to make it work.
TB/BBBF pants have **** all taper and are wide through the leg. As seen in AR-6's fit.
I am curious as to your definition of taper. FWIW, these pants have a 7.5" leg opening.
