I'm not in category 4, but I know many people who say they don't care about what they wear or how they look. They are probably lying and/or lazy, but still, they claim so.

I've found that the value of my attempts to dress creatively is in less people giving me an attitude for my accent and education and in being able to go from the theatre to the pub in the same outfit without feeling self conscious about it

And that's the best Jude Law has looked outside of his Dunhill ad campaign, though he could stand to lose the Nikes

Law looks great in various casual pics, he chooses his stuff himself and is a big fan of many interesting designers. I'm not that big on him as an actor but he's a sharp dresser.

I think the jacket isn't of much high quality in that pic, the fabric looks cheap. And the lapels ... I don't even think they are even lapels are they? Not even proper notches in them. Sharp dresser, but I think he was letting his guard off this time around. I'm surprised you think his top is "well dressed" here. I think it's sloppy overall. It's probably because it fits him well, and ... his head doesn't look to bad either. But I wouldn't have a clue anyways.

^ The guy is a trendsetter, no doubt. He's not my kinda trendsetter, but his interest in clothes is apparent. That photo looks like a personalised approximation of the new YSL collection with a dash of Rick Owens

Those lapels look fine to me and it's a distressed casual jacket - he's obviously just dressed to run some errands not to pose for the paparazzi

He's wearing a very light Carol Christian Poell (I think) jacket and it is made to wrinkle and look like that. You don't have to like it but it is quite intentional and certainly well made.

Just because he's in a suit doesn't mean he's well dressed. Neither silhouette nor color combination are fitting for him. The shirt collar does not look right either... btw, having a style in outfits is part of attraction

^ I'm entertained by the way he's matched the shine of his hair to the sheen of his tie

It's clearly a peak lapel.

I personally like his outfit from the waist up. The shorts and high tops arent really my style, but I love the T, cardigan and blazer. Of course it looks good on him because he is a good looking guy, on us regular folks it might seem like we're trying a bit too hard and its contrived.

That is the problem we regular joes encounter...if we go out and run errands and try to look casual like normal folks we are slobs, if we look casual like a hollywood guy it seems forced.

I also wonder if he is peeing himself or is about to take a dump. By the looks of his pose, it could be either. His certainly looks cramped, one way or the other.
