I just picked up pairs in M and L in black. They arrived today — will post feedback after a few wears

Edit: waist fits TTS (M = 30-33) but is very forgiving with the elastic. Leg is cut well for me. I usually wear 12.25"-12.5" thigh

Thanks @MGoCrimson

Could I ask a fav from you and get the thigh measurement for the Larges please? I'm not sure to go for L or XL. I'm a 34" waist but want a looser fit.

I wear a 33 in Uniqlo chinos now (32 in most other brands :( ) and both the M and L linen blend shorts are a good fit. (The large a bit longer and roomier, but nothing extreme).

I've worn the mediums for a day and the waist has already stretched out a tad.

At $15, I liked them so much I sent back all their chino shorts I ordered.

I'm probably going to nuke the L in the dryer instead of returning them so I have a backup pair as M is out of stock now. Hope they shrink to just the right size

Also wore the M for a day. I don't think the waistband stretched. Then again, my waist is on the small side — getting the waistband over my quads was the hard part.

The chambray ones? They are from the recent spring/summer Uniqlo x Lemaire release.
Here's another shot of them from a recent WAYWT post.

When do the new season stuff usually arrive? Want to pick up some new Oxfords but the reviews for the current fit are horrible.

In Japan, Uniqlo MA-1 Bombers are out
http://www.uniqlo.com/jp/store/goods/178772

I really wish they did this a in the winter or spring season, not summer

also a new Denim Jacket (never owned one before, but now thinking about it)

I remember the spring/summer MA-1 being pretty average. The nylon got progressively thinner/more delicate.

I still have this fall/winter MA-1/blouson from 2010 (100% cotton). Unfortunately, I've outgrown it.

I didn't start wearing Uniqlo until 2013 when I moved to Japan.
Does everyone else feel that the quality has been declining?
stuff begins piling within a few months and I take care of my stuff well. Had a few shorts and sweatpants where the crotch wore out quickly and became nearly see through.
I would say they are on par with Zara quality. I only deal with it so far because pricing is very good. The Chino Shorts were about $12 last week, so they are easy to replace.
High end brands here like Beams or United Arrows want $40 (on sale from normally 70) for a similar style of shorts. Quality might be a bit better, but not sure if its good enough to warrant spending more than 3x more.

What I've noticed among men in Japan is
Uniqlo: all your socks, underwear and undershirts, basic button up shirts, tees, and outerwear you treat as disposable or as an emergency pair
Beams, UA, Ships, JS: all the outerwear, jackets, and suits that are expensive, but higher quality (but sometimes they are entirely synthetic and want ridiculously high prices for it)
GU or Wego: for all the trendy stuff that is cheap and will go out of style next year.

^ Yes, Uniqlo quality has been declining over the past few years. This probably coincides with their massive store expansion in the US (which hasn't been all too successful btw).

I still have pieces from 2008-2010 that are great. Heavy flannels, the MA-1 blouson above, the T-000 jeans in multiple colors, MIJ selvedge denim, etc.

The reason they are sucking is because their clothes are. The v necks I used to buy the **** out of are garbage and so are the fits now. Old flannels were pretty good as were the oxfords, not perfect but not wonky fits like now.

**** shrinks like crazy nowadays, very limited scope of items, same colors not all the proper hues, I could go on and on. If they hired jetdawg as a consultant they'd be on top.

Before, I always wanted to go and check it out but now that we have them in socal I'm not even tempted to go in because it's the same old lower quality garbage and weird cuts. You can't even trust the same stuff to fit the same, who wants to deal with that? Imagine the shipping returns nightmares.
