You're welcome. It would be better, though, if you affirmed that you have joined that others in my Thucydides reading assignment.

I do agree that it's beneficial to get an 'outside' opinion when you're more focused on clothing than others. But I think that you have to keep in mind that work colleagues have their own agendas that probably make them poor references. In the case of someone like the person you describe, it's probably best not to confuse corporate ambition for any true knowledge of what it takes to succeed.
Do you have the interior of the cuffs lined in the silk from Hermès figurative print neckties?

I am the only New Yorker (transplant though I may be) who has never been to the Hamptons. If I want to go to the beach, I go home.
A much more readable translation is the Landmark Thucydides. The maps are excellent and help you follow the text and the twists and turns much more easily.
I have a friend who insists, like Mafoo, that his shirts be identical. In his case, they're all solid and almost all white. His wife buys him his ties. I find him an interesting barometer, even though I would not take his judgments to heart in most cases. If you have this sort of person--staid, not slovenly, but essentially uninterested in clothes--it can be informative to get his reactions to your clothes. He tells me, for example, that my shoes are better than my suits. I'm not sure that's fair, but it's still an interesting reaction from a proverbial man on the street.
I like white shirts too. Problem is I like a lot of colorful shirts as well. It's interesting that he notices shoes. I have a lot of people notice my shoes and I think they are reacting to how nice the leather looks. I didnt start noticing myself until recently how bad most men's shoes look.
I'm looking into getting iammatt a catalog of ships print necktie.
He notices shoes because he owns two pairs, and because he knows that I have something of a shoe problem.
I'll make you a deal, and nobody will need to get close to Homer. I'll send you a ***** and Sperm necktie, and a copy of Thucydides. You take the time to cut all of the mentions of trireme, peltast, hoplite etc from the book with an exacto knife and then glue them onto the necktie. Then send everything back to me and I will read the shorter, more interesting version of the book, and I will wear the now more attractive tie while doing so.
That is quite a nice monkey.
I was on the Hampton Jitney last week and I'm like, 99% positive that Manton was hiding in the luggage compartment.
