Coincidentally the wearer also appears to be “some sort of flake.”

I think that would work very well indeed. What are everyone's thoughts on using the William halstead 3 ply 55% wool 45% kid mohair in midnight mohair for a three piece dinner jacket? It's a cloth reminiscent of the old tonik
I'd wear the jacket, but not the trousers. It reminds me of Versace.Saw this shawl collar dinner jacket with matching trousers in the window of an upscale men's resale shop. The buttons were some sort of gold flake buttons.
Didn't go in to ask about the size or price. If anyone is interested the shop is on the south side of Ventura Blvd between Laurel Canyon and Whitsett in Studio City CA.

Isn't that also a waistcoat on the adjacent dummy? Very Liberace on the whole-- and avoiding that by only a little with black trousers and cummerbund.I'd wear the jacket, but not the trousers. It reminds me of Versace.
Looks like it. I think the jacket, by itself, would be fine. Not if you don't like to stand out, of course. As a shrinking violet myself, I'm sure I'd be deeply conflicted.Isn't that also a waistcoat on the adjacent dummy? For the trousers? The same Harrison's ivory barathea I used for my ivory dinner jacket.Which fabric are you using?
If charm and class are key, I'd say that you are the accessory ...Burma jacket, midnight blue trousers & cummerbund. As always, the right accessories are key.

That is, indeed, the case. I am merely a backdrop against which my wife can shine. Or dazzle, in this particular dress, which throws off sparkles like a disco ball when the light hits it.If charm and class are key, I'd say that you are the accessory ...
Silly jokes apart, your rig is excellent and you both are a wonderful couple.
