The patina is developing wonderfully on my Honey Glazed Ottawas (Grant Stone). I hadn’t noticed this at first, but the heel counters are inverse (color-wise). So much character.

The only thing that matters is that you love the character. I mean that.

But for me, this looks like wicked poor clicking.

Mhmm. It appears so. The difference is indistinguishable depending on the angle and the lighting:

The viewing angle also changes the color. Keep the light the same and view the heel counters from the rear and then from the front. I have some whiskey saddles and the light and dark areas will flip when viewed from the opposite angle.
