Yeah, I like the discussion of photos too, when they're of a pic posted by a forum member. But there's a sitting-room politeness to those critiques often missing from the discussions of photos from "elsewhere." I feel bad for some of the folks who get subjected to it without having volunteered their pic.

Maybe appearing on the Sartorialist or the like makes you fair game, but a little decorum still seems warranted.

He seems to get a lot of flack Mr Sartorialist, I kind of feel its a case of damned if you do damned if you don't for him.
He is obviously passionate about his work and no doubt keen on fashion but has a look which he goes for on his site and in his own style.
At the end of the day it is his opinion and he is living a dream that I admire while too many try to shoot him down,
I personally don't like his outfit at all - to me it looks like someone trying too hard to follow all the rules of Italian extremes in one outfit but HE enjoys it so it's all good.

I think he looks pretty decent to be fair.

I DO find it amusing that there are now photographers of photographers.

And so on ad infinitum?

Ron Galella was once the focus of his fellow paparazzi. Sart and Fash are of the same ilk, no?

I don't see anything wrong with the look, other than the pants being just a bit full as previously posted. He is a shorter guy, probably 5'5" or 5'6" so I think the shorter jacket is a good look for him.

And he is most definitely keeping an eye out for his next shot. I saw the same look when I watched him work the room at the Z Zegna show last fall.

Excellent point, Robin! +1 He also looks like he may have put on some winter weight.

I don`t think he looks good at all, because he is not wearing anything that flatters his build.

The jacket looks too short because he is short and bulky. The cut of the pants do not flatter his meaty thighs, and the Tom Browne capri pants looks terrible on people with short, bulky legs. The linen square in a peak fold doesn`t make any sense with the rest of the outfit. I don`t think the skinny lapels look very good on him either.

It doesn`t look THAT bad, but if he wore stuff that fits his body more, I think he could look much, much better.
