I seem to be the only one waving flag for white wines. So here is a dump of recent stuff, some from a trip to Munich, some local.

First some ordinary Champange:

Then upping the level significantly. There was a poster here like a year ago or so that posted a rosé Larmandier-Bernier and I said I would eventually try the Rosé de Maturation Vintage from them and well, it is a blast. The colour is to fall in love with and the taste is really nice, especially considering its price:

Some really good German Riesling:

And some Chardonnay:

Finally some Austrian Riesling again:

I have some Reislings from Fass that I’m pretty sure I ordered back when Obama was still president so they should be here any day now and I’ll join you in the white wine posting.

Plenty of white wine being drunk here, although it’s not riesling for me but white burgundy. And champagne as you alluded to if that counts, lots of that as well. All recent:

This is drinking great. 2015 was a very warm year and they added more garnacha than usual. Bright and lively with a long finish.

A hint to bargain hunters: a 2009 Cru Beaujolais was in magnificent shape last night, even though only a Fleurie. You'll have trouble finding any from that vintage, but the newer ones represent excellent value for those who need food-friendly options tilting toward the Burgundian style. Just be sure to store it in a cold cellar.
