I think I've posted about Turtle Rock before. He was Justin Smith's (Saxum) asst. wine maker back in 2015 when we did a huge back of house tour of Paso. We were doing barrel tasting at Saxum with Justin and got to taste from the very first barrel of Turtle Rock.

All I'm going to say is buy as much as you can get.

Nah I canceled all my subscriptions. Similar motivation -- I don't want the admin hassles.

I think there are only 4 wines I buy direct from at this point. My storage is so out of control I figure if it’s something random I want in the future I’ll just buy it

100% Tinta de Toro. This is their mid-range bottling, 90 year old vines and 14 months in second fill oak barrels. Reliably good for the price.

Always reliable though the '20 showed less of the qualities across the board than I'm accustomed to for Pétalos.
