I’m not sure I trust the app.
I just downloaded and scanned. My measurements are all smaller than yours with the exception of the overall length of my foot being a tiny bit longer and the app recommends a 9.5 in 2030. My foot would be swimming in a 9.5 I think. My width, instep, and arch length are all smaller than yours. I like Viberg sizes between 8.5 and 9.
Seems to me (based on our 2 data points) that the app/Viberg are basing fit recommendation heavily on overall length, and nothing else.
I would recommend you call them and share both Data points with them and ask for their opinion. Your welcome to use my sizing info. I found Viberg to very helpful. The worse case is you may have to exchange what you order for a better fit. Remember they don't offer refunds. So don't buy both sizes at the same time. I'm curious what Last did the app recommend for you?

I own or have owned more than a couple dozen Vibergs, the majority of which are/were 2030 last ranging from size 8-9.
I’ve never tried a 9.5 (app’s recommended size). Maybe someday.
I find the latest 2030 last to be borderline too high volume for me in size 9. And I’ve got one pair of old 2030 in size 9 that feel a bit cramped in the toes with anything but thin socks. Oddly enough, I’ve also got an old sz8 derby shoe that fit great. Go figure.

Either way, when you compare your foot measurements to mine, the only one where my foot is larger is the overall length. I’m smaller everywhere else, yet the app recommends the larger size for me compared to you. And it recommends a size that I’m convinced is too large based on all the other measurements, which it seems to be ignoring. Seems like a fancy 3D scanner that isn’t doing anything more than a ruler could. I’m sure they’ll improve it over time. The ability to factor more of a 3D profile into fit recommendations will be great. But I think more data is needed from Mfgrs on their last shapes and probably some user data too.

The whole sizing issue is mind blogging at the least and I'm sure the app isn't perfect. These are my 2nd pair of Viborg's so I'm a notice and can't really be of much assistance. The best way and only way to know is try them on. Especially since I believe they have changed the 2030 last in recent years. We live in the world of online orders now and you'll have to buy and try to be sure. I still think a conversation with them may provide more clarity if you have the time. Good luck. Let us know what happens.

I might do that (call them and discuss) at some point. I’ll be sure to report back if I do.
I’m very intrigued by the tool and I think the multiple volumetric data points are quite handy, especially for someone like me who has smaller than average instep and width. Glad you recommended it. Thanks!

Less motivated to sell these as winter approaches, but I’ve got more boots (and more black boots) than I “need” right now.

Have you ever tired MTO? I also purchased a pair of White's MPS Through Baker's Shoes which Ive waiting over 7 months for. Have a look at the White's Stevens. They're not Vibergs but you can do the MTO.

*Maker/Model: Viberg x Withered Fig Bobcat

*Size: 9E 1035 (fits big) super voluminous

*Leather: Horween Charocal Chamois RO

*Sole: Vibram 2060

*Price: $475 shipped PPFF

*Wears/Condition: Worn probably 15 -20 times. I had Unsung take off the Gloxi sole and put on a black 2060 wedge not too long ago. Only 3 wears on the new sole.

*Images:

*Notes: I don’t have the box but the black laces in there are brand new from Viberg and the leather laces are new too. I had Unsung also cut a full-length leather insole in there to eat up some space but it’s not enough. So if they are a little too tight you could just pull that insole out and put the heel pad back in and go OG.

WTB Viberg Chukka sz 9 or 9.5. Old school chukkas. Not that bernhard poop.

**These two pairs still for sale**

Viberg Dark Brown French Calf
* Last : 2030
* Size : 7
* Upper : Dark Brown French Calf
* Outsole : Lactae Hevea
* Construction : Stitchdown

Worn twice before resole/resize by Viberg. They resoled but didn’t stretch it like I asked so they’re too small for me. Regrettably have to sell.

**$650 shipped**

Viberg Pigment Brown HB Boondocker

* Last : 2040
* Size : 8
* Upper : Horween Pigment Brown HB
* Outsole : Dainite
* Construction : Stitchdown
* Notes : Unstructured

Bought from another member who wore it once. Slightly big for me

**$420 shipped**
