all I can offer is this general sentiment: a dude has to do whatever he can to carry on the days and hours until he faces the dark, sweet embrace of death, and ******** all over this thread isn't *the worst thing* I could be doing with my time.

And so you're happy...

So, Oxford Cloth shirts with moderate to heavy wear on Cuff and Collar edges...Pick up or Pass?

I personally think they look cool but im wondering what you guys think.

If you like the way it looks, it fits you, and you will wear it. Go for it.

Yup. I like to wear things out myself, but if you like it, grab it. But I wouldn't ever try to flip something like that.

You guys have been posting too much! Go outside and enjoy the fresh air and summer heat!

The is next to NO REASON to buy a worn, frayed OCBD shirt. Your closet will quickly fill with worn out clothing and you won't have room for all of the amazing shirts you will find in the days ahead. You will CURSE the money you wasted on the rags!

I left a few really well made shirts in mint condition that were all from the same owner. They all had thick MOP buttons, but I honestly didn't recognize the brands. If they were my size, I would have picked them up. The only one I remember was Walter's Brother. I hadn't heard of it, but it was a loud and pastel. It was neat.

I did get...

A Conte of Florence short sleeved polo. I've only found 2-3 items from this brand and this is the first that fits.

Thomas Pink French-cuffed shirt. Great condition and the first I've actually brought home. Are all/most Superfine Twofold 170's?

Eton contemporary fit with barrel cuffs. Same donor, I think.

Finally, a couple of wool ties for another member here.

Nope, that's the higher quality ones. According to the website, their shirts range from £90 - £200. The 170's seem to be £160, so definitely their upper tier.

And some shoes...

How long ago did Allen Edmonds stop using the "Handcrafted World of Allen Edmonds" on the inside of the shoe? I'd like to have an idea of the age of these MacNeils.
That Type Face style with all caps in the insole was used from about 1981, when they switched from the old logo with the elongated "A" which dropped in front of the "E", until 1988, when they transitioned to the script including lower case letters they use today.

I had a lot of shoe luck last night. Shoes are about as hard as good trousers to find around here so I'm quite happy.

Chuch's Custom Grade ox-blood loafers. (anyone say oxblood anymore?) I think these are shells.
Size is... 6.5 F. I think I'll have to open the auction up to Japan.

Hartt's, beautiful cap toe. Another post on this thread that this company was owned by Chuch's.
Labelled A/B 105. Not sure what that means but they fit me. At any rate, a great quality shoe that I'm thinking of keeping.

Izod tattersall shirt. Nothing special but will be great with tweed.

A vintage western shirt with snap buttons.

And a nice linen no-name understated PS.

I would want to see a closer picture of the rolls/creases nearest the top of the vamps, and I recommend posting them on the AAAC Shell or not Shell thread, but my provisional vote is shell. Also, BP should be all over these. (F is Church's "medium" width if I remember right.)

I don't think they're shell. Looks like microcreases on the vamp there and UK makers use shell a lot less than Americans.

So anyway, left all of that because I managed to pair up orphans of this variety...

Details tomorrow... A 50R would be approximately a 40R right?

Why yes, yes I am it is.
