So I go into a TJ Maxx today and after passing on some Robert Graham shirts and a very nice PRL multicolor madras-y shirt with a blue striped oxford collar (sounds busy -- and it was -- but cool)...I ran into this lady, as Springsteen said in "Glory Days," she was walkin' in, I was walkin' out...

...and I double-take, she looks at me oddly, and I say "I'm sorry, don't I know you form somewhere?"

She says "I'm Kelly Ayotte, I represent you in Washington in the Senate."

"Oh yeah," I said, shaking her hand. "Sorry, I'm on the other side, but it's nice to meet you."

Im dead serious.

Ike Behar is really more well known for ties and shirts, most usually clogging up NMLCs across America. The suiting, while I have no idea who makes it, is probably mid-range at best in terms of quality. However, that looks like me all day long and I don't care. :D

Whats the button/vent/pleat situation? And the sleeve length? These answers will either put me out of my misery, or pelt you with PMs.

LOL
3 buttons
center vent
Single pleat
Measurements - Sleeves L from shoulder seam 24 in , Jacket length 31, armpit to armpit 19
Pants L 40 in, W 32, 2" Cuff with 2 more in to let out.
Upon further inspection, i am 95% confident it has never been worn, maybe tried on.

More pics from my crappy Blackberry

It is a kick ass suit! I hope to see you wearing it soon spoo

I agree, it looks nice in an elegantly loud way if that makes sense. If it fits him, he does not mind a single vent (a buttcrack in the jacket ), and he can get it for a pinch, it would be a helluva nice score. I dont get all the dislike for IKE BEHAR as a brand though, they can go quite loud and fashiony and I like this aspect more than the apparent lack of quality.

BTW, made in Canada is probably Samuelsohn.

Wouldnt be surprised.
Plenty of those 'round these parts, never cared to visit their HQ, they are 10mns drive away from my Apt. I should maybe go and report one day for the whole board.

I meant double vent.
Maybe its just Canadian thing, but they call double , "center vent" around here.

Greg, what Marshalls were you hitting? The ones in Roswell (near my job) are terrible.

I would imagine that New Mexico town would not have anything worth a damn. I was away in Arkansas and Missouri while all the TJMAX and Marshalls fuss was being made here, and can confirm small town midwest has absolutely ziltch on its TJ/Marshalls racks. Now that I am home in San Francisco, I can confirm they have either been cleaned out or had nothing in the first place. May be only east coast is getting all this fabulous stuff.

I AM EXTREMELY JEALOUS THOUGH  and am hating this thread at the moment
Loro Piana for a pinch, Cucinelli for a pinch, I have a lot of hate inside me.
