Yeah I cleaned out my closet last week and ended up with a bag fulls of clothes that were either bad thrift purchases or just stuff I haven't worn in a year. It's depressing to think about the money I've wasted but at the same time I've learned a lot from my mistakes and now I only buy things that I absolutely know I'll wear, or I can trade or sell to fund my thrift purchases.

Also, found a pair of 10 C AE McAllisters in great shape and my first Zegna Tie here, nice pattern as well.

Ditto...I think anyone who has been on this thread for any amount of time passes on stuff that they would have purchased earlier.

Good stuff:

what appear to be NWOT Zanella trousers. (I say "appear" since the hems are still unfinished)

A completely deadstock Wendellinc 9(?) OCBD with the back-of-the-collar button. "Tapered Bottom" fit...still had the old price tag on it; had been marked down from $8 to $2. It's all cotton and is 16 x 33. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hmm, I've been wondering what the exact deal is with those BOC buttons. I have a couple of Jack Robie shirts with those...(really nice, slimmer-fitting shirts, btw, at not-bad prices).

From what I've read and seen, Andrew's ties are quite nice. Great find.

In Saver's today, An Ermengildo Zegna windowpane jacket, yellow/tan ish, very light weight, looked and felt like wool / silk / cashmere. Perfect tropical wear. You must understand that in de coconut worl', we hardly see Lauren. $7.99.

One size too big for me. Tears stain my keyboard.

An olympus stylus epic at the salvation army for 5 bucks. For all those who have ever thought about investing in a good point and shoot, don't think twice about spending hundreds on a yashica or contax. The lens is easily just as sharp as the zeiss on those and it's a way more portable camera.
