Of all my years walking around San Francisco during lunch breaks, I only just realized today that there's an Isaia Napoli store on Maiden Lane.

That is all. Lol!

Shell Hanover LB Sheppard Signatures loafer (Model 2500) 9.5 D/B, available

Milanese brand I've never seen "Cardinale", but insanely comfortable for personal. No size/model marking, only a handwritten letter "M" on the tongue. MTO maybe?

One of those looks like shell and the other one doesn’t. Am i just tripping balls here?

Shell doesn't really have a "grain". It's a membrane so it's very smooth. Even if you strip all the finishes, coatings and colors off it, it still looks smooth and just has that characteristic rolling.

A build up of polish usually makes the shell color look streaky. It's really difficult to get colored polishes and creams to penetrate, even when you're starting with totally bare shell. So they tend to just stay on the surface. But they don't cause small creases like on the left shoe. Even when the clear top coat many manufacturers apply to shell (like Alden) gets old, it just appears cloudy or flaky.

Nope.
@ORLThrifter I think you got 2 different shoes. Do the model numbers in each shoe match? The creases on the left one definitely don't look like shell.
I thought the same at first, but I believe they are shell and @silverwarebandit is right, it's polish build-up.Same model # on both and unless someone resoled with these soles...but I understand and appreciate the thread skepticism.

Edit: who knows then?

****, I don't know anymore. Model number and sole, rest of the shoe feels like shell and everything is identical on the interiors. Maybe it's a unicorn and I need to get a refund from Hanover..oh wait.
